The Cube

With The Cube, the rigorous essentiality of geometry is gradually transformed by the expansion of matter. On one of the volume's surfaces, a proliferation of small glazed cubes develops that seems to grow spontaneously, altering the limit of the form. The contrast between the solidity of the cube and the dynamism of the aggregation creates a continuous tension between control and growth. The surface is not decorated but transformed by a process that seems to develop from within, as if matter were slowly redefining itself.
